Bristol Hearing Aids LLC is a fully independent hearing aid practice. We aren't owned by any hearing aid manufacturer. Instead, we get to decide for ourselves what would be the best way to care for each patient. And that's important because no two hearing aid patients are the same and no two hearing losses are the same. By choosing from an unlimited selection of hearing aid styles and manufacturers, we're able to find the hearing aids that would best fit you.
After we evaluate your hearing and understand your hearing loss, we will sit down with you to talk about your options. We need you to be open and honest with us during this conversation so that we have all the information we need to make good suggestions. We'll consider:
Modern hearing aids come in a number of sizes and shapes to suit your personal preference and what you need out of a hearing aid. We can show you what these different styles are like and let you know which ones would be a good fit for you.
The styles of hearing aids we offer include invisible-in-the-canal (IIC), completely-in-canal (CIC), in-the-canal (ITC), in-the-ear (ITE), receiver-in-canal (RIC), and behind-the-ear (BTE). Many of our patients choose the receiver-in-canal (RIC) hearing aids because they're comfortable and people feel that they hear much better with RIC hearing aids. However, if you prefer custom-fit hearing aids, we have the expertise to fit you with custom models to your liking.
You might think that smaller hearing aids are more expensive, but that's not true. Actually, the price of hearing aids is consistent no matter which hearing aid style you choose. The price depends on level of technology — how much do you need your hearing aids to be able to do? All modern digital hearing aids are powerful and have some degree of background noise canceling, but more sophisticated (and more expensive) technology can work in the most challenging situations.
We work very hard to find an affordable solution for all of our patients. Our priority is helping people hear better, and that's going to be our number one focus when we make a recommendation. If you let us know your budget, we'll work with you to find an affordable hearing solution.
Hearing technology continues to evolve every year, and it's our job to stay on top of what's new on the market so we can best serve our patients. In addition to processing power and improvements in noise reduction, there are other technological advancements that are making a difference in our patients' lives.
